- ScopePlatform, infrastructure and day-to-day operations
- RelationshipOver a decade, and continuing
- FocusStability, speed and running cost
Before
When we took it on, the platform was slow and running on ageing technology, with security gaps and little documentation. It was carrying a growing retail business that could not afford to stop trading.
After
The marketplace has grown many times over since, through peak sale periods, with faster checkout and lower running costs. The platform has changed direction with the business more than once, and the engineering has kept pace.
What we built
We stabilised the core first: listings, cart and checkout. From there we built the platform out end to end and moved it onto a serverless architecture, adding a recommendation engine, bulk ordering, wallets, and payment and logistics integrations. As the business changed direction, the platform changed with it.
